He Stabbed Her During Dispute

Wanted For Bloody Glendale Assault

Police are asking the public’s help in tracking down the man wanted for allegedly stabbing and seriously injuring a 51-year-old woman inside a Glendale home last Thursday afternoon, Apr. 19.

He was identified by law enforcement sources as 63-year-old Jose Rodriguez.

According to authorities, the attack took place at around 12:30 p.m. last Thursday inside a residence on 59th Street near Cooper Avenue in the Liberty Park section of the neighborhood.

Reportedly, Rodriguez and the 51-year-old female victim became embroiled in a dispute. The argument turned violent, police said, when the suspect allegedly stabbed the woman multiple times in the torso, arms, neck and face.

Following the assault, law enforcement sources noted, Rodriguez allegedly fled from the scene in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 104th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. The woman was brought to a local hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.

Rodriguez is described by authorities as a Hispanic male standing at 5’6″-tall and weighing about 165 lbs. with short sandy hair, black eyes and glasses.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
