Double- Barrel Bandit Sought

Crook Wanted For Woodside Stickup

The public’s help is being sought by police in tracking down two crooks who robbed a pair of men on a Woodside street last month while armed with a shotgun, law enforcement sources reported.

The shotgun-toting bandit wanted for a recent Woodside robbery.

Surveillance camera footage released by the NYPD last Thursday, May 3, showed one of the suspects- described as an African-American male believed to be 25 years old, standing between 5’6″- and 5’8″-tall and weighing 140 lbs.-retrieving the shotgun from behind a bin near a location on Broadway near 64th Street moments before the Apr. 21 stickup.

His accomplice, whose image was not shown in the footage, was described by police as a Hispanic male in his 20s standing at 5’5″-tall.

According to authorities, the rob- bery took place at around 6:10 a.m. on Apr. 21 in the vicinity of Broadway and 64th Street.

Reportedly, the two male victims- ages 25 and 32-were in the area and approached by the two bandits.

While the first suspect pointed the shotgun at them, law enforcement sources said, the second crook removed the victim’s wallets, money, keys, cell phone and jewelry. After taking their property, it was noted, the bandits fled from the scene.

Members of the 108th Precinct responded to the incident. There were no reported injuries.

The shotgun-toting crook was last observed wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, while his accomplice was last seen wearing a black waist-length jacket and a green Army baseball cap.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the 108th Precinct Detective Squad, it was noted.
