FLUSHING — The NYPD was looking to identify a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted bank robbery within the 109th Precinct.

According to police, the suspect entered the 39-12 Main St. Bank of America around noon Monday before passing a demand note and verbally demanding money. The suspect then backed away from the counter and fled southbound on Roosevelt Avenue, police said.

Police described the suspect as a white male in his 20s at about 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds. He was wearing a green wind breaker, blue jeans and brown boots, police said.
