The driver of a sedan was lucky to escape unharmed after his ride collided with a wall on the Brooklyn- Queens Expressway in Woodside and burst into flames early on Sunday morning, June 24, it was reported. According to Fire Department sources, the crash occurred at around 3:45 a.m. along the expressway’s eastbound lanes near the Broadway/Roosevelt Avenue exit. Members of Engine companies 312, 263 and 307; Ladder companies 154 and 117; Battalion 49; the 108th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene (as listed in the order of their arrival).
