Locals took an evening ride on the Forest Park Carousel last Friday, Aug. 17 for a fund-raiser for the New York City Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Among those pitching in were (from left) Vance Barbour and President Ed Wendell of the Woodhaven Residents Block Association; State Sen. Joseph Addabbo (joined by his mother Grace and his daughters, five-year-old Arianna and eight-year-old Alexis); Denise Demaria of the Alzheimer’s Association; Assemblyman Mike Miller; Niurqui Mariano, Susan Cohen and Marcia Avellaneda-Henne of the Alzheimer’s Association; and carousel operator Amichaim Abramson.
