Family Fun Time In Howard Beach

Seventh-graders at St. Pancras Church in Glendale received the sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Frank Caggiano of the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens during a ceremony on Oct. 19 at the house of worship. The candidates for confirmation were both St. Pancras School students and youngsters in St. Pancras’ CCD program. Concelebrating the Mass with Bishop Caggiano were Msgr. Gregory Wielunski

Dozens of children and their families enjoyed games, face painting and entertainment during Family Fun Day sponsored by the Reach for the S.T.A.R.S. Day Care Program and the City Parks Foundation at Howard Beach’s P.S. 207. Among those who turned out for the event were Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder and Frances Scarantino of Reach for the S.T.A.R.S.
