District Manager Gary Giordano noted that the DOT’s Bureau of Highways, which is conducting the resurfacing work, previously com- pleted street paving at nighttime hours on Myrtle Avenue between Fresh Pond Road and Wyckoff Avenue in Ridgewood and on portions of Woodhaven Boulevard in Glendale. He thanked the bureau for its efforts.

During resurfacing work, crews will first mill the roadway, stripping the top layer of asphalt off the street. Thereafter, workers will return to place a new layer of pavement.

Parking will be prohibited on roadways scheduled to be resurfaced, and the DOT posts notices on the blocks at least a day before the scheduled work. Any vehicle found parked on the affected streets during the scheduled work hours can and will be towed away.
