BRONX — A Queensbridge man was arrested in Ohio last Friday after police said he shot and killed a woman and wounded another inside a Bronx housing project earlier this month.
Raymond Mayrant, 25, was charged with murder, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the Jan. 3 shooting, according to police.
At about 1 p.m., police responded to reports of gunshots at 1790 Story Ave. and discovered Elzina Brown, 59, with a gunshot wound to her chest, the NYPD said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to cops.
Mayrant also allegedly shot a 22-year-old woman in the face, police said. She was taken to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition.
