Couldn’t Save Infant’s Life In Rego Pk.

Police are examining the death of a six-month-old girl who was found unconscious inside her Rego Park home on Monday night, Apr. 22, it was reported.

The identity was not disclosed by police pending family notification.

According to law enforcement sources, the child was found unconscious and unresponsive inside an apartment house on Queens Boulevard near 62nd Avenue at around 10:23 p.m. Monday.

Members of the 112th Precinct and EMS units responded to a 911 call at the scene. The baby was rushed by paramedics to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Her body was transferred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
