Bicycle Safety at Sunnyside Workshop

Business owners received a crash course on the city’s new commercial bicycle safety laws during a workshop held by City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer last Tuesday, May 14, at Sunnyside Community Services. As noted, the session focused on commercial cycling safety legislation which took effect in April, sponsored by Van Bramer, which requires commercial cyclists to wear retro-reflective jackets, vests or other apparel while riding on behalf of a business. Participants in last Tuesday’s workshop received free accessories.
