SPRINGFIELD GARDENS — Springfield Gardens resident Christopher Heron was sentenced to 22 years to life in prison Monday for murdering a fellow taxi driver in Nassau County in 2011, according to Nassau District Attorney Kathleen Rice.

Heron, 37, was convicted of murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the fatal stabbing of taxi driver William Mena, also of Queens, in Franklin Square after the two got into an argument, Rice said.
