Police were hunting for whoever shot a 26-year-old man in the head in South Richmond Hill Sunday evening.
No arrests had been made as of Monday afternoon in the shooting, which happened at about 6:15 p.m. near the intersection of 101st Avenue and 116th Street, a spokesman for the NYPD said.
The victim, who had been inside a black Mercedes SUV, was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition, police said.
On Sunday evening, Sikh men and women comforted one another at the scene of the shooting.
