Natasha Martinez, 17, was returning to her Woodhaven home after work when she was attacked and stabbed from behind.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Monday as Martinez was walking along 85th Street when police said she was stabbed in the back and torso. There are currently no suspects or arrests, the NYPD said.
A witness described the perpetrator as a black male, approximately five feet six inches tall and 150 pounds, wearing a white t-shirt and dark jeans.
Martinez was taken to Jamaica Hospital and was in stable condition as of press time, according to police.
