FOREST HILLS GARDENS — Police have arrested two women in connection with a gunpoint robbery of three women in Forest Hills Gardens, a spokesman for the NYPD said Thursday.
A 45-year-old woman was charged with robbery and criminal possession of stolen property and a 28-year-old woman was charged with robbery in the Jun. 29 holdup, police said. The identities of the women, who were arrested Sunday, were not released by the NYPD.
Authorities were still looking for one or more people involved in the midnight robbery on Slocum Crescent, the spokesman said.
On July 3 police had released a sketch of a black man who allegedly flashed a gun at the three victims before demanding their cash, authorities said.
After the victims handed over money, the gun-toting suspect fled, police said.
It was not known what roles the two women who were charged may have played in the incident.
