ASTORIA — Police were seeking help identifying a man in connection with an assault that occurred in the early hours of Monday in Astoria.
The 114th Precinct said a 37-year-old man was outside a building, at 34-44 Steinway St., around 3:30 a.m. when two men approached him.
The victim was shot in the right ankle before the two men ran from the location, police said. He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center to be treated for his injuries.
