CHARLOTTE BACH of Glendale died on Thursday, February 20, at the age
of 72. She was the wife of the late Walter Bach, devoted mother of Melinda
Bach and Melissa Hosmer and dear sister-in-law of Eleanor. She is also
survived by three grandchildren and many family members. Services were
offered at graveside at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, under the
direction of George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale.

LYDIA LOVISA died on Thursday, February 27, in New Milford, Conn. at
the age of 89. She was the wife of the late Raymond Lovisa, loving mother of
Gloria Wickline, Diane Iovino and the late Patricia Lovisa, cherished
grandmother of Kenneth, Patricia, Jessica and Kelly and great-grandmother of
Nicole and Stephanie. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Wednesday,
March 5, at St. Mary’s Church, Woodside, followed by interment at Calvary
Cemetery, Woodside, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27
Grand Ave., Maspeth.

HELEN SAMIDE of Ridgewood died on Monday, February 17, at the age of
89. A native of Obern, Gottschee, Austria, she was the wife of the late Frank,
devoted mother of Frank W. Samide and dear sister-in-law of Brigitte Hiris,
William Hiris and Lillian Hiris. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St.
Matthias Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at Cypress Hills
Cemetery, under the direction of Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels,
663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood.

CONSTANTIN RUSNAC of Ridgewood died on Wednesday, February 19,
at the age of 70. A native of Urlati, Romania, he was the beloved husband of
Viorica. Services were offered at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels,
663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood, by Rev. Viorel Dimitrescu, followed by
interment at All Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village.

LEONARD LABANOWSKI of Ridgewood died on Tuesday, February 18,
at the age of 79. A native of Brooklyn, he was the beloved husband of Mary.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at
Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Ridgewood, followed by
interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, under the direction of
Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood.

CHARLOTTE HERDER of Glendale died on Wednesday, February 19, at
the age of 101. A native of Germany, she was the devoted mother of Heidi
Herder. She is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were offered at graveside at Cypress Hills Cemetery under the direction
of George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale.

THERESA DISTEFANO died on Sunday, February 23, at the age of 92. She was the wife of the late Leonard
DiStefano and loving mother of Joseph DiStefano, Dominic DiStefano, Leonora Gassier and Kenneth DiStefano. She
is also survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held this morning, Thursday, February 27, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, Maspeth,
followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27
Grand Ave., Maspeth.

ANNA T. SPEER of Glendale died on Monday, February 24, at the age of 82. A native of Brooklyn, she was the wife
of the late August Speer, devoted mother of Michael A., Richard P., Stephen F., the late Brian T. Speer and Carolann
Larsen and dear sister of Kathleen Shannon. She is also survived by six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will
be offered on Friday, February 28, at Sacred Heart Church, Glendale followed by interment at St. John Cemetery,
Middle Village, under the direction of George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale.
