Two Queens city councilmen have been elected co-chairs of the body’s Progressive Caucus.
The caucus voted Councilmen Antonio Reynoso (D-Brooklyn), whose district includes Ridgewood, and Donovan Richards (D-Laurelton) into the leadership roles for four-year terms.
“I am confident that the partnership with my colleagues in the caucus will produce real solutions and promote a progressive focus at the City Council,” Reynoso said in a statement.
Richards said he was honored to accept the role.
“I look forward to working with the caucus to ensure New York City is more equitable, sustainable and just,” he said in a statement.
