Cops ID Two Perps In Assault

Detectives continue to seek two members of a group that beat up and slashed a 26-year-old man at an Ozone Park location earlier this month, it was reported.

Law enforcement sources said the assault occurred at 4:45 a.m. on May 18 in front of a business on 101st Avenue between 75th and Drew streets, near the Brooklyn/Queens border.

Reportedly, the two perpetrators-both of whom were described as Hispanic males-were part of a group that approached, then attacked the 26-year-old victim.

After repeatedly punching and kicking the man, police said, one of the suspects pulled out a sharp objects and slashed the victim multiple times across the face, neck, back and hand.

Seconds later, the group fled from the scene in an unknown direction, according to authorities.

Officers from the 102nd Precinct and EMS units responded to the incident. The victim was treated at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center for injuries that were not considered lifethreatening.

Police said one of the perpetrators -who goes by the name “Timmy” and the nickname “Slime”-was last seen wearing a blue jean vest and a white t-shirt.

The second suspect, law enforcement sources stated, was observed wearing a black baseball cap and white sneakers.

An investigation is ongoing.
