Maspeth Teens Join Honor Society

Things got tense between State Sen. Joseph Addabbo (right) and City Council Member Eric Ulrich at last Thursday’s debate in Middle Village.

Maspeth High School held their First Annual National Honor Society (NHS) Induction Ceremony for their Chapter Societas Nationalis Honoris Scholae Maspethis on May 5. This chapter celebrated these students academic successes, as well as their embodiment of NHS’ four pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Pictured are the newest inductees; Ymani Bethea, Alexa Kava, Janinna Ramos, Johannah Gepte, Krzysztof Kropiewnicki, Amy Lin, Iris Chen, Lulu Zhou, Kinju Sherpa, Diego Ruiz, Sadia Rahman, Jia Chen, Juliana Maia, Karen Lopez, Kezia Diaz and Sarah De Rop.
