More than 60 students celebrated the Catholic sacrament of confirmation during a mass Monday afternoon at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Bayside. Auxiliary Bishop Guy Sansaricq led the annual ceremony for those confirmed, which included eighth grade students at Sacred Heart as well as children from public schools. Each youngster selected a name from a saint or the Bible as their confirmation name as well as a sponsor to oversee their spiritual development.
