A bar dispute erupted into a stabbing at a Bayside restaurant early Friday morning, an NYPD spokesman said.
Officers responded to the Safari Beach Club at 40-05 Bell Blvd. shortly after 1 a.m. to investigate the reported incident.
According to the NYPD, two men — one 34 years old, the other in his 20s — got into some type of altercation. The younger man then allegedly stabbed the older man in the neck, police said.
Authorities have little information about the suspected attacker.
It was not clear if the argument began inside the business and spilled out onto the street or if the entire incident occurred on the sidewalk, police said.
The victim was taken to New York Hospital Queens and listed in critical condition, police said.
No arrests have been made and the incident remained under investigation, the NYPD said.
