Sunday Schedule For Labor Day

All MTA New York City Transit subways and buses and all MTA Bus Company routes will operate on a Sunday schedule on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1. Riders are advised to plan their trips accordingly.

Additionally, the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) announced it would add extra eastbound trains out of Penn Station tomorrow afternoon, Friday, Aug. 29, for those looking to get an early start to the Labor Day weekend. For more information, visit www.mta.info.

Overnight Express On E Line In Qns.

Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run express service between Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Avenue on Friday, Aug. 29, from 12:15 until 5 a.m .

For service to the 36th Street, Steinway Street, 46th Street, Northern Boulevard and 65th Street stations, take the E train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E train. For service from these stations, take the E train to Queens Plaza, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E train.

Late Night E & F

Skips Van Wyck

Jamaica Center-bound E trains and Jamaica-bound F trains will skip the Van Wyck Boulevard station late nights, Monday through Friday, from 11:45 p.m. to 5 a.m., through Friday, Sept. 12. Service will operate normally from 11:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2.

During this period, Jamaica-bound F trains will also skip the Sutphin Boulevard station.

For service to the skipped stations, take the E train to Jamaica-Van Wyck or the F train to Parsons Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E or F train. For service from these stations, take the E or F train to Union Turnpike, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E train or a Jamaicabound F train.

Switch Of Lines For F Trains To Man.

Manhattan-bound F trains will run on the M line between Roosevelt Avenue and 47th-50th Streets this weekend, from 11:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1. These trains will operate express service between Roosevelt Avenue and Queens Plaza.

As a result, Manhattan-bound F trains will not stop at the 21st Street- Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Avenue-63rd Street and 57th Street stations.

For service to these stations, take the F train to 47th-50th Streets, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train. For service from these stations, take the F train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train.

Late Night Local Svc. Along F Line

Manhattan-bound F trains will run local service between 71st- Continental Avenues and Roosevelt Avenue late nights, Tuesday through Friday, from 12:01 until 5 a.m. beginning this Wednesday, Sept. 3, and continuing through Friday, Sept. 19. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

Sandy Repairs Close G Train Bet. LIC & Bk.

As part of the MTA’s Fix & Fortify Hurricane Sandy repair program, G train service between Court Square and Nassau Avenue is suspended through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2. During this period, G trains will operate normally between Nassau Avenue and Church Avenue.

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service on two routes. One shuttle bus will run along Manhattan Avenue between Nassau Avenue and Court Square, stopping near the closed G train stations. Another shuttle bus will run along McGuinness Boulevard between Court Square and the Lorimer Street G/L train station, making stops near G train stations.

Riders can transfer between the G train and the Manhattan Avenue shuttle bus at Greenpoint Avenue or the McGuinness Boulevard shuttle bus at the corner of Lorimer Street and Metropolitan Avenue.

J & M Trains Skip Williamsburg Stops

Jamaica Center-bound J trains and Middle Village-bound M trains will skip the Hewes Street, Lorimer Street and Flushing Avenue stations on Wednesday through Friday, Sept. 3-5, from 9:45 a.m. until 3 p.m. This service change will also be in effect the following week, Sept. 10-12.

For service to these stations, take the J or M trains to Myrtle Avenue- Broadway, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound J or M train. For service from these stations, take the J or M train to Marcy Avenue (Unlimited MetroCard customers only) or Essex Street, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound J train or a Middle Village-bound M train.

Station Renewal Comes To A Line

The Ozone Park/Far Rockawaybound platform at the 88th Street station and the Ozone Park-bound platform at the 104th Street station on the A line remain shut through September as part of an ongoing station renewal project.

For service to the 88th Street station, take the A train to Rockaway Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train. For service to the 101st Street station, take a Lefferts Boulevard/Ozone Parkbound A train to 111th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train.

For service from these stations, take the A train to either Rockaway Boulevard or 80th Street, then transfer to an Ozone Park-bound or a Far Rockaway-bound A train.
