This summer is shaping up to be a tremendous season for Queens, with the pop-up beach beer garden opening in Ridgewood, Mister Sunday moving to Nowadays, and of course the glorious Forest Hills Stadium, which keeps adding more and more fabulous acts to its summer lineup.
Comedian Louis C.K. has just announced that he will be performing at Forest Hills Stadium on Friday, July 22, as part of his summer tour.
The $55 tickets went on sale today at noon and are expected to be sold out quickly. As of 2:40 p.m. they are still available, so hurry up if you want to see one of the best comedians of today.
In an email Louis C.K. sent to Gothamist, he wrote, “if you saw me at a club or something since last May or so, you might be seeing some of the same material, though it has changed drastically over the months … but if you’ve seen me on tour, in a major venue, you won’t have seen these particular words. That’s right. I am not using any words that I have ever said on stage. It was a very difficult challenge. I had to resort to words like ‘cotton’ and ‘trunk’ and even ‘Salutation.’ Anyway. It’s new jokes and I think I’m better at comedy right now than I’ve been for a while and I’m going to dedicate the year to just doing great live shows.”
