NYPD: Four suspects stab and beat man on East Elmhurst street

Four men brutally beat a 24-year-old man in East Elmhurst last week, stabbing him and striking him in the head and body with a tire iron and cane, police said.

The suspects attacked the victim in the vicinity of 32nd Ave and 74th Street on Thursday, May 19 at 8:20 pm, according to the NYPD.

They stabbed the victim with a knife, and then hit him with a tire iron and cane in the head and body. The victim suffered numerous lacerations to his back and head, police said.

The suspects then fled eastbound on 32nd Ave.

The victim was transported to Elmhurst General hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police describe the first suspect as a male, Hispanic, between 16-24 years old, between 5’5” and 5’8” with a slim build. He was least seen wearing a black sweater with white graphics on its front, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.

The second suspect is a male, Hispanic, between 16-24 years old, between 5’5” and 5’8” with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, blue 1482-16 115 pdu assault 05-19-16 photo2jeans and red sneakers.

The third individual is a male, Hispanic, 16-24 years old, 5’5″ to 5’8″, slim build; last seen wearing a black hooded sweater and black pants.

The fourth individual is a male, Hispanic, 16-24 years old, 5’5″ to 5’8″, slim build; last seen wearing a black hooded sweater and light blue jeans.

Police have released a surveillance video and photos of the suspects and are asking anyone with any information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
