JAMAICA — Police were asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest in connection with an assault that occurred May 29.

At about 9:47 p.m. that evening, an unknown woman entered the emergency room of Jamaica Hospital accompanying a 20-year-old man who had suffered a gunshot wound, police said. Before anyone was able to learn her identity, the woman left the hospital, according to the NYPD.

Police also released a photo and video of the person of interest, who was described by police as an Hispanic woman who was last seen wearing a pink shirt, a white skirt with vertical lines and white shoes. Police asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1 (800) 577-TIPS or to submit tips online at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
