More than 232,000 women will be diagnosed with new cases of breast cancer this year. Throughout the month of October, the medical community takes the time to make sure that women are educated about the disease, its causes and ways to prevent.
A special event is coming to Bay Terrace Shopping Center on Oct.22 to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m, Northwell Health will be setting up their mobile health van that will be parked near Chico’s.
The van will be offering information about breast cancer prevention, screenings and treatment to everyone who stops by.
The Bay Terrace Shopping Center is located at 26th Avenue and Bell Boulevard in Bayside.
