It’s double trouble for the people of Glendale.
After the Columbus Day holiday is over, Con Edison will begin an emergency work project along Central Avenue.
The electric company will be making emergency repairs to the electric service on Central Avenue between 70th Street to 72nd Street. Work is set to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 11, and continue around the clock for the next few weeks, Con Edison said.
Residents of the area can expect to see excavation work, parking restrictions and noise associated with construction.
For more information about the emergency work, contact Con Edison’s Queens Regional Community Affairs at 1-718-425-6899 or QueensPA@conEd.com.
This work will take place during the same time that the Department of Design and Construction (DDC) is working on the new pedestrian plaza at the corner of Myrtle and Cooper avenues.
