Astoria favorite La Sala will be celebrating not one but two events this October: El Dia de Los Muertos on Friday, Oct. 28, and an Addams Family theme party on Monday, Oct. 31. Both parties start at 5 p.m. for happy hour with themed cocktails through the night, but you won’t wanna miss the contest for best costume on Monday night.

Lime Lounge
If you’re into bottle service and don’t mind traveling farther into Queens, you’re going to love Upscale Society’s Halloween event, A Night of Nightmares, at Lime Lounge on Saturday, Oct. 29. Doors open at 10 p.m., and word is everyone who RSVP’d gets in free before midnight. (What’s your zodiac sign? If you’re a Scorpio, you can get in for free all night with an RSVP ticket!) And no, it doesn’t end there. You still have free jello shots and $10 fishbowls before the clock strikes 12. MoMA PS1
For an artistically noteworthy celebration, you’ll need to visit MoMA PS1 and Susanne Bartsch’s legendary Halloween Ball on Saturday, Oct. 29. Running on its fifth year, this year’s theme is The White House of Horror. The event will feature live performances, DJs, dancing and some bonafide creative ensembles. The celebration runs from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $18 in advance and the price at the door is TBA.

Bohemian Beer Garden
On Saturday, Oct. 29, your favorite beer garden will be coordinating a Halloween celebration equipped with a costume contest and drink specials. Prizes will be given out for best homemade costume, crowd favorite and scariest costume. With no cover charge and DJ Izzy E performing from 5 to 10 p.m., the beer garden remains a hot item on the list of things to do this fall. The event will be 21 and over.

Haunted Waters
If you’re looking for a light, brisk version of Halloween, join the Greater Astoria Historical Society for their walk along the Long Island City/Astoria waterfront on Saturday, Oct. 29. At noon, participants will meet at the Hell Gate Bridge, Shore Boulevard and Ditmars Boulevard. Tag along for some mystery and history during the 2.5-hour walk along the East River, ending at Socrates Sculpture Park. The fee is $15 for non-members, $10 for GAHS members and $5 for people in costume.

Horseman’s Hollow
If you’re looking to go all out this year and really embrace the Halloween festivities, the Horseman’s Hollow is a celebration worth visiting. The event is known as Sleepy Hollow’s premier haunted attraction, where elaborate costumes and the most prestigious makeup artists ensure that your experience is all too real. Visitors will encounter creatures and strangers lurking in the shadows as they walk the haunted trail made by the Headless Horseman in Philipsburg Manor. Advance tickets are required and they sell out quickly! Make sure to purchase your ticket for $20. An additional $15 for the fast track pass is available to participants.
