Along with shopping, eating and relaxing on the Long Island City waterfront, you can also get your 15 minutes of fame this Saturday at LIC Flea & Food.
Turning old and discarded items into new treasures is the fun of HGTV’s Emmy Award winning show Flea Market Flip, and the show will once again film an episode on May 6 at the Flea.
Contestants will turn items ready for the junkyard into treasures that visitors at LIC Flea will love to bring home.
The fun starts as visitors negotiate prices on their favorite pieces and the contestants compete to sell all their items first. Host Lara Spencer joins the fun and crowns the winner right on the spot.
LIC Flea & Food is open every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors will find global food from entrepreneurial chefs, handcrafted, vintage and curated items along with the only All-Queens Beer Garden.
