‘City Hall in Your Borough’ kicks off today in Queens

Mayor Bill de Blasio is officially kicking of City Hall in Your Borough with a number of events throughout Queens.

This morning, de Blasio and Police Commissioner James O’Neill are holding a press conference at the parking lot adjacent to the 105th Precinct satellite office, located at 242-40 North Conduit Ave. in Rosedale. During the conference, they will announce the future site of the 116th Precinct in Queens.

The mayor won’t be the only one from City Hall that will be around Queens today. At 10:30 a.m., Chancellor Carmen Fariña will visit a Summer in the City classroom at P.S. 120, located at 58-01 136 St. in Flushing. At the same time, Cultural Affairs Commissioner Tom Finkelpearl will be at the Louis Armstrong House, located at 34-56 107 St. in Corona, breaking ground on their new education center.

At noon, Sanitation Commissioner Kathryn Garcia will make an announcement regarding commercial organics  at Citifield. The mayor will then meet with senior staff at 12:30 p.m. at Queens Borough Hall in Kew Gardens. He’ll then head back into Manhattan for a 2 p.m. health care rally with Governor Andrew Cuomo.

At 6 p.m., the FDNY will host a CPR training session at the Queens Library in Ridgewood, located at 20-12 Madison St.

At 6:40 p.m. at Citi Field, Chancellor Fariña will deliver remarks at the Remarkable Achievement Award ceremony.

This evening at 7 p.m., de Blasio will appear live on NY1’s Road to City Hall.
