Drenching rains and high winds led to a large tree branch crashing into the roof of a school bus on the Middle Village/Rego Park border on Monday morning, sending eight children and two adults to the hospital, police said.

According to authorities, the tree branch cracked and fell on top of the Logan Bus Company bus at 7:53 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, near Woodhaven Boulevard and 67th Avenue.

The falling piece of tree hit the school bus, causing damage to the windshield and door frame.

Officers from the 112th Precinct responded to the incident. No injuries were reported, cops said. However, EMS units transported the eight children and two adults to Elmhurst Hospital for precautionary reasons.
