Get into the Halloween spirit at a family-friendly affair in Bayside this weekend.
On Oct. 29, put on your costume and visit the area by the Bayside LIRR station on 41st Avenue between Bell Boulevard and 213th Street for Halloween Family Fun Day. Organized by the Bayside Village Business Improvement District (BID), the free event will run from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
All-day activities include a festive pumpkin patch — with free pumpkins while supplies last — a creepy crafts station, bouncy houses and a Make Your Own Slime booth.
At 11 a.m., children can enjoy a (not-so) spooky story time, courtesy of the Turn the Page Again bookstore. At noon, Mappi the Clown will amaze kids with magic and games.
At 2 p.m., live music will begin. American standards, pop and rock sets are slated to be performed.
The event is free and made possible by Bayside Village businesses and local elected officials.
The Bayside Village BID is a nonprofit organization that supports the dozens of businesses along the Bell Boulevard corridor between Northern Boulevard and 35th Avenue, as well as 41st Avenue from 213th Street to 214th Place.
