BAYSIDE — Police were looking for three suspects who forced their way into an elderly Bayside couple’s home Tuesday and robbed them at gunpoint.

Cops said the incident occurred at around 7 p.m. A 77-year-old man answered a ring at the door and in an ensuing scuffle, he and his 74-year-old wife were knocked to the ground. The men entered and presented firearms, according to the NYPD.

The men left the scene with about $60 in cash and $2,000 in jewelry, according to police.

The couple was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Police did not have a description of the individuals and were asking anyone with information to come forward.
