Astoria residents were devastated to find that Queens Kickshaw would close its doors in August, but the duo behind the eatery have just announced a few details about their new place.
Owners Jennifer Lim and Ben Sandler posted a photo on Instagram showing off the food items that they will serve at their new restaurant, Ha’s Chinese. The restaurant will still be located at 40-17 Broadway.
Though they originally said the new place would open in October, they announced on Instagram that Ha’s Chinese would open in early December. The owners are selling pre-opening week dinner tickets for $35. The tickets include food, drink, tax and gratuity.
The photo shows off a number of menu items that customers will be able to order including dumplings, scallion pancakes and a number of vegetable dishes.
Sandler told food publication Grub Street that the menu would include “Sichuan, some Filipino-Chinese dishes Jen grew up with, as well as twists on American-Chinese takeout.”
They also encourage people to sign up for their mailing list to receive information about the new restaurant as the opening date approaches.
