Enjoy a night of fun while supporting a good cause this weekend in Astoria.
On Saturday, Dec. 9, New York City Animal Rescue Girls (NYCARG), a nonprofit that has rescued more than 200 homeless animals from the streets of New York City, will be hosting their First Annual NYCARG Holiday Fundraiser at Katch Astoria, located at 31-19 Newtown Ave., from 6 to 10 p.m.
The fundraiser will feature performances by comedians Brandon Collins and Thomas F. Ray; and singer Syrissa Sacca, all of whom are Queens natives. Attendees can also participate in silent auctions and raffles.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will go to fund NYCARG’s rescue services, including trap, neuter and rehome, fostering and adoption services and veterinary care.
“We here at NYCARG rely heavily on the kindness of our donors and volunteers. I would like to thank each and every single person who has turned this vision into a reality. Your various contributions go a long way in making our rescue efforts possible,” said Alicia Harding, President and Founder of NYCARG. “We are looking forward to a fun-filled evening benefiting our furry little friends in need.”
