Man steals cash from employee’s wallet at Astoria pharmacy: NYPD

ASTORIA — Police were searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a grand larceny that took place in an Astoria pharmacy.

Authorities said the suspect entered American Specialty Pharmacy, located at 26-20 Hoyt Ave., Wednesday, Dec. 6 and asked a clerk for assistance. The clerk came out from behind the counter to help the suspect find an eye care product.

The suspect, described as a black male wearing camouflage who is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and 150 pounds, took the victim’s wallet out of his pants pocket and removed cash before returning the wallet and fleeing the store.
