Police Looking for Two Men Who Took $6K in Jewelry from Woman’s Corona Apartment on Christmas Eve

Police are searching for two masked men who burglarized a Corona apartment on Christmas Eve.

The two burglars allegedly entered an apartment building by prying open a roof door in the vicinity of 42nd Avenue and 108th Street around 7 p.m. The men went to the second floor and then forced open the front door of an apartment. They then took $800 cash and $5,600 worth of jewelry from the apartment, according to police.

After burglarizing the apartment, the men fled back through the roof door, police said.

The victim, a 29-year-old woman, discovered she had been burglarized when she returned home at about 12:30 a.m. and found her front door smashed open and her apartment ransacked, police said.

The police obtained footage of the perpetrators from the landlord.

One of the alleged burglars was wearing a white sweatshirt, a white hat, a white scarf and a light colored backpack, according to police. The other wore a dark sweatshirt and a white backpack.
