An auto repair shop and similar auto stores are going to be torn down in Corona, according to Department of Buildings filings.
The buildings to be demolished are located on 97-01 Northern Boulevard, a large corner lot located next to a Speedway Gas Station. The one-story building houses a number of auto businesses.
The owner of the property is listed as Arthur Koptiev, a principal with Forest Hills-based Platinum Realty Associates. Platinum is currently doing another large-scale development in Queens.
Platinum is working with Curbcut Urban Partners in developing an eight-story office and medical building at 38-01 Queens Boulevard building in Long Island City.
Koptiev could not be reached to answer what his plans are for the Northern Boulevard property.
