Police were still on the lookout for a woman who allegedly assaulted a female passenger on an escalator inside the Jamaica Center – Parsons/Archer J subway station within the 103rd Precinct and Transit District 20 in September, according to authorities.
The 27-year-old female victim was on the escalator Sept. 27 at approximately 8 p.m. when the alleged assailant approached her and challenged her to a fight, according to the police.
Moments later, the suspect allegedly punched her in the head and face numerous times, according to the NYPD.
Surveillance footage showed the suspect fleeing through the turnstiles. The suspect later went northbound on 153rd Street, according to police.
The was treated at Jamaica Hospital for lacerations to her neck and bruising to her face and was later released from the medical center.
Police described the suspect as a Hispanic woman, possibly around 5 feet 2 inches tall between 100 to 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a light colored jacket, a black shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers, according to the NYPD.
