Cocktail and Craft — Get in the Halloween spirit with Cocktail and Craft at the Queens Botanical Garden. Adults ages 21 and older can come enjoy fall drinks while carving pumpkins.
When: Thursday, Oct. 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Ukulele Club — Do you own a ukulele? Come play with others at the Queens Library.

Río Mira — Enjoy a mash-up of South American music at Flushing Town Hall. Río Mira’s music is from Ecuador and Colombia, while Inkhay plays indigenous music from Ecuador, Bolivia and Peru.
When: Friday, Oct. 19, at 8 p.m.
Where: Flushing Town Hall, 137-35 Northern Blvd.
Cost: $16; $10 for members and students; free for teens

Silent Disco Dance Party — Come to a silent disco dance party. Admission gets you wireless headphones with three live DJ options: Top 40 Dance Hits; ‘80s, ‘90s and 2K throwbacks and Hip-Hop, Latin! Must be 21 or older to attend.
When: Friday, Oct. 19, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Where: Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden, 29-19 24th Ave., Long Island City
Cost: $15 at the door; $10 advanced purchase

Ghostbusters — Who you gonna call? Come watch “Ghostbusters” as a drive-in movie. There will be activities for kids beginning at 5:30 p.m., before the movie starts at 6:30 p.m. This free event is at John Golden Park, 215th Place and 33rd Avenue.

It’s My Park Day — Support the community on It’s My Park Day. The Briarwood/Kew Gardens Lions Club is hosting a day for park cleanup. There will also be a table where you can write notes for deployed troops and veterans to be delivered on Veterans’ Day.
When: Saturday, Oct. 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Hoover Park and Playground, on Manton Street between 83rd Avenue and Main Street

Pepe Santana Workshop — Learn about Andean music and make your own panpipe. Pepe Santana will be teaching a workshop on how to make and play Andean music. This event is for children ages 10 and up.
When: Saturday, Oct. 20, at 11:30 a.m.
Where: Flushing Town Hall, 137-35 Northern Blvd.
Cost: $25, $20 for members; free for teens

“Copacabana” Red Gala — Help raise awareness for sudden cardiac arrest at the “Copacabana” Red Gala. Wear red to this event that includes cocktails, dinner, awards, dancing and more. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
When: Saturday, Oct. 20, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Where: Russo’s on the Bay, 162-45 Cross Bay Blvd., Howard Beach
Cost: $150 per person or $1,400 for a 10-person table

Michael Wong — Come see Malaysian Chinese singer Michael Wong at the Kupferberg Center. Wong is famous throughout Asia and is coming to New York City on his world tour of five countries.
When: Saturday, Oct. 20, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Cost: Tickets range from $58 to $198

Complicated Territory — Go on a tour of a new art exhibit with the creators! Exhibition curator Bridget Donlon and exhibition artists Alex McQuilkin and Erin M. Riley will be leading a tour of “Complicated Territory.” Seating is limited. RSVP by calling 718-937-6317 or email rsvp@dorsky.org. The exhibit will be open through Dec. 16.

Claude Debussy In Memoriam: a Centenary Anniversary — Enjoy a concert of classical music. “Claude Debussy In Memoriam: a Centenary Anniversary” features two pianists, a flautist and a cello player.

Batty Over Halloween — Celebrate the season at Batty Over Halloween. Enjoy face painting, balloon animals, crafts, free popcorn and more. There will also be children’s performances and a photo scavenger hunt.

Chemistry Day — Are your kids interested in science? Bring them to Chemistry Day at the New York Hall of Science. This event features demonstrations by college students and other local volunteers.

Cost: Free with NYSCI admission

Bruce Nauman: Disappearing Acts — Enjoy a new art exhibit at MoMA PS1’s Fall Open House. “Bruce Nauman: Disappearing Acts” will open to the public for the first time, along with music by Jeremy Toussaint-Baptiste. No registration required.
When: Sunday, Oct. 21, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Sew Club – Ope Lab — Have a sewing project you’ve been wanting to work on but don’t have the equipment? Come to Sew Club – Open Lab at the Queens Library. Sewing machines and accessories will be available for adults 18 and over to use.

James Kaplan Book Reading — Come to a reading from a bestselling novelist. James Kaplan will be reading and discussing his work, which includes his biographies of Frank Sinatra and the upcoming “Irving Berlin: New York Genius.” Tickets are $20. This event is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Kupferberg Center, 153-49 Reeves Ave., Flushing.
