Police are looking for a duo who caused a serious head injury to the victim during an argument on a Sunnyside street.
According to authorities, at 5:25 p.m. on Oct. 2, a 64-year-old man was stopped in his car in the vicinity of Queens Boulevard and 43rd Street when he got into an argument with two unknown men who were crossing the street.
Law enforcement sources said the beef turned physical when one of the suspects punched the victim in the face through an open car window. Following the altercation, the suspects fled the scene eastbound on Queens Boulevard.
EMS responded to the location but the victim refused medical attention at the scene. But two weeks later, on Oct. 16, the victim was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where he was shown to have suffered from bleeding on the brain as a result of the assault. The victim is in serious but stable condition.
On Nov. 4, the NYPD released images of the assailants involved in the attack. Cops described one of the suspects as a black man in his late teens or early 20s and was last seen a white T-shirt, black jacket and blue jeans. His cohort is described as a Hispanic man in his late teens or early 20s and was last seen wearing a blue hooded jacket, blue pants and white sneakers.
