Tattooed man wanted in connection with raping of woman in South Ozone Park: NYPD
By Emily Davenport

Police were looking for a tattooed man who they believe recently raped a woman in South Ozone Park.

According to police, between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Dec. 30, 24-year-old George Persaud allegedly approached a 40-year-old woman and displayed a fake firearm. He then allegedly forced the woman into a secluded area where Persaud raped her, police said.

EMS took the victim to an area hospital for evaluation.

Sources familiar with the investigation indicated that there doesn’t seem to be a connection between Persaud and the victim, and that the rape occurred near where the victim lives.

Persaud is described as having brown eyes, dark hair with shaved fade on side, facial hair on face and chin, standing 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds.

On Jan. 2, the NYPD released images of Persaud, which included an image of his chest tattoo that says “Only The Strong Survive.” He also has a nautical star on his right hand, and tattoos on his right knuckles.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
