Hundreds of marijuana plants have been seized from a Ridgewood home following a police raid last night.

Around 8:35 p.m., Queens North Narcotics detectives raided the house and attached garage, located at 1820 Gates Avenue, and removed nearly 500 marijuana plants and several grow lamps. Police were seen carrying heavy garbage bags out from the garage following the bust.

A search warrant for the home was obtained as part of an ongoing investigation, police said.

Douglas Wait, the 47-year-old resident of the house, was taken into custody and charged with grand larceny, two counts of criminal possession of marijuana, unlawfully growing cannabis, and criminal used of drug paraphernalia.
