Police Continue Search For Ridgewood Assailants, Release New Footage of Attack

Police have released new surveillance footage of an attack in Ridgewood that left a 41-year-old man hospitalized over the weekend.

Around 12:40 a.m. on Sunday March 10, the victim got into a verbal dispute with two men near Metropolitan and Grandview Avenues. The argument soon turned physical, with the two men violently assaulting the victim.

New footage of the attack shows the altercation starting in the street, where the two men began striking the victim with a bat-like weapon, knocking him to the ground on the sidewalk. They then continue to hit and kick the victim before fleeing the scene.

The victim was transported to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in critical but stable condition.

The suspects are both described as Hispanic, in their late 20s, and approximately between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 9 inches in height. One suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, while the other was last seen wearing a brown jacket.
