Suspect Knocks Out 63-Year-Old Man and Steals iPhone in Murray Hill: NYPD

Police are looking for a suspect who punched a 63-year-old man in the face–leaving him unconscious– before taking his iPhone in Murray Hill last month.

The incident took place in the vicinity of 159th Street and Sanford Avenue at about 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, according to the NYPD.

The suspect approached the victim on the street and punched him in the face, before taking his iPhone and fleeing the scene, police said. The 63-year-old was left unconscious.

The victim was later transported to an area hospital in a stable condition.

Police describe the suspect as a black man with a tattoo on the left side of his neck.
