Flushing’s Nordstrom Rack is set to close at the end of January.
Nordstrom Rack Skyview Center, located at 40-24 College Point Blvd, will close on Jan. 31, 2020 and leave 42 employees without jobs, according to a notice the company filed with the New York State Department of Labor.
The closure comes amid an expansion of the company’s New York City operations.
Just last week, Nordstrom opened its first NYC flagship store for women and children in Manhattan’s Central Park Tower and in July, the company opened a Rack store in Staten Island’s Empire Outlets.
A spokeswoman for Nordstrom said the company is working to find Flushing employees new roles within the company.
The Flushing location is Queen’s only Nordstrom Rack store.
