A teen was whacked in the back of the head and had his phone and gold chain stolen near Queens Crossing Mall in Flushing over the weekend.
The 18-year-old was in front of 136-17 39th Ave. on Sunday when two individuals approached him from behind at 5:47 a.m. They struck him in the back of the head with an unknown object and then punched him in the face, police said.
The pair then forcibly took the teen’s iPhone 11 and a gold chain, before fleeing southbound on Main Street, police said.
The victim sustained lacerations to the top of his head, but refused medical attention at the scene.
