For the fifth time this month, a lottery player in Queens has hit the jackpot.
A winning Take-5 ticket, worth $60,244.50, was sold a Flushing gas station and selected for the Tuesday, Sept. 22, drawing, the New York Lottery announced Wednesday.
The ticket, sold at a Mobil gas station located at 154-02 Horace Harding Exp., was the fifth winning ticket sold in the borough in September. In total, Take-5 winners in Queens have taken home a combined $243,000, including Tuesday’s winnings.
Last week, a Flushing liquor store sold a winning ticket worth nearly $60,000 for the Sept. 16 drawing. A few days prior, a winning ticket, worth $29,000 was purchased at a Ridgewood 99 cents store on Monday, Sept. 14.
On Tuesday, Sept. 8, a Corona deli sold a lottery ticket worth over $30,000. Earlier in the month, a lottery ticket worth over $63,000 was purchased in College Point and was selected as the winning ticket for the Sept. 3 Take-5 drawing.
The five winning Take-5 numbers, selected from a field of one to 39, are drawn every night at 11:21 p.m.
Winning ticket holders have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
