Two men stabbed after altercation at Queens bar: NYPD

Two men were stabbed by an unidentified assailant in the early hours of July 16 on the shoulder of the west bound Long Island Expressway, prior to exit 27, according to authorities. The stabbings stemmed from an altercation the victims had with the assailant earlier at Hatfields sports bar at 40-05 Bell Blvd. in Bayside, police said.

The victims, ages 20 and 22, were rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital and are now in stable condition. The 20-year-old suffered a stab wound to the stomach while the 22-year-old was stabbed in the shoulder, police said.

According to a spokesperson from the 111th Precinct, officers responded to regarding the stabbing at approximately 5:04 a.m. on July 16. After stabbing the two victims, the suspect fled the scene on foot, the spokesperson said. An arrest has not been made yet and the police are currently investigating the matter.
