Police are investigating a shooting in Ozone Park on Monday afternoon that left a man in critical condition, according to authorities.
Police say that at approximately 3:01 p.m. on Aug. 22, officers from the 102nd Precinct in Ozone Park responded to a shooting at 94-19 94th St. in Ozone Park.
Upon their arrival, officers found a man believed to be in his 20s was shot in his armpit. EMS arrived at the scene and transported the man to Elmhurst Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. The alleged shooter fled northbound on 95th Street, according to authorities.
Police described the alleged shooter as a man in his 20s who was last seen wearing all black.
An investigation is ongoing, police said.
